Begeisterung Press was founded in 2026 by Benjamin Sloan in Lafayette, Indiana, and is dedicated to ambitious art and pretentious entertainment, by which we mean literature—primarily fiction—that does interesting things with language and form, whether it has a plot or not, with especial interests in maximalism, modernism, long sentences, byzantine asides, strange anachronisms, inexplicable violence, and Gnostic existentialism, as well as whatever else catches our fancy, which could be anything so long as it exhibits BEGEISTERUNG.
